The “Pignater” estate, in our property since 2004, has been mentioned as a winery in documents reaching back to the 13th century. It is located on the mountain of Kampenn with a north-east orientation, its vineyards have a soil of porphyritic origin and extend from 370-450 m a.s.l.. Long sunshine periods during the time of vegetation, excellent ventilation and great fluctuation of temperature are just a few of the privileges this site has to offer. It is here that we grow most of the grapes for our white wines, but also a minor quantity of Merlot (for our Composition Reif), Lagrein (short-stemmed) and Schiava is being harvested on this estate.
